What it does

At the till, the operator holds the phone up to a product and the nearest matches appear straight away. Recognition happens on the handset itself, using a model built into the app and a local copy of your catalogue pictures, so it keeps working when the outlet has a weak connection. Image data is pulled down from your server whenever a connection is available.

Where it fits in the business

Brought in on top of the DNA core edition, this extension works inside the core billing screen. The core holds the product catalogue, prices and stock; the add-on adds camera lookup on top, using images synced from those catalogue records to suggest the item the operator is holding.

Counter operators in busy shops and mini-markets where staff need to find an item quickly, including new hires who have not learnt the catalogue yet. It also suits outlets in buildings or areas where the internet drops, since lookup does not depend on a live connection.

01/Is Visual Product Search included in SenangUrus DNA?
It is part of the SenangUrus DNA module library. Core modules are included in the subscription; add-on modules are quoted separately and switched on for the business that needs them. Either way it is configured during implementation, not left to you to set up.
02/Does it work with several outlets?
Yes. It runs on the same product, customer, stock and account records as the rest of the edition, and access can be limited to one outlet or opened across all of them.
03/What does setup involve?
Configuration of the module around your documents and process, migration of the data it depends on (products, suppliers, customers, opening stock or balances), permissions per role, and training for the staff who will use it daily.
04/Can it be tailored?
